Since my first domain purchase, I had sticked with Namecheap for many reasons.
You may call me a loyal fan of Namecheap but to me there is no point to switch registrar because they have provided me with a good service.
In this review, I will share my experience with the company, and rating them based on 3 areas, their customer service, the ease of use and overall pricing.
Before we move forward, I want you to know that some of the links below are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

Over the years, it has also introduced hosting services to serve as a all rounder service provider to aspiring website owners. Want to know more? In this video review, I will walk you through the backend of Namecheap and cover 3 areas which I believe is important.
Not a fan of videos? Keep moving forward, everything is covered in this article; there is nothing to lose.
Frankly speaking, I won’t be a repeat customer of Namecheap if they are giving me trouble.
That said, let me share with you, one of my encounters with their customer service.
I remember it was March 2018, when I received an email that claims that I must do some verifications if not my domains will all be gone.
Normally, I will say it is a scam however, there was once that we (domain owners) had to do some verification if not our domains will not function as per normal.
I am no sure if you remember that instance but it sure made me worried for a second.
Instead of clicking on any links in that email, I copied the entire content and contacted Namecheap’s customer support, explained the whole suitation and asked them to verify if it came from them.
I don’t know about you but their customer support is always fast; they do not make me wait; everything was settle in an instant. I can ignore that email as it is a scam.
Personally, I will give their customer support a 5 star rating and my customer experience so far with Namecheap is phenomenal.
Ease Of Use
Another important factor that you should look at is the ease of use of the domain registrar. Frankly, when I first started using Namecheap years ago, I did not find any difficulties in linking my hosting to the domain.
Mind you, at that point of time, I did not know anything about the internet, I did not even know what is a domain name!
Furthermore, you can always rely on their customer support if you have an issue; do not feel ashamed when you ask for help, they are the service provider and should help you.
You may be wondering now how many times have I used their support? Frankly speaking, I have lost count..
What about the integration of hosting account?
Well, you just need to change the nameservers to the ones stated in your hosting, that is all there is to it. Check out this step by step guide to integrate your hosting to your domain.
Please note that I am reviewing Namecheap as a domain registrar because I had purchased domain names via their platform.
Hence, I can not judge the ease of use of their hosting services because I have never used their hosting service.
You can check out my review on the hosting that I am currently using.
All in all, the interface and ease of use for Namecheap is perfect for even beginners.
One word: cheap!
Namecheap allows us to purchase our desired domain names at an affordable price; let me give you an example.
I only paid $50 or so for wealthdean.com and it lasts for five years! Let me do the math, it costs around $10 for a year or $0.02 per day.
What do I get in return? A domain to work on and a powerful support team that helps me with domain related issues.
This is of course if you only opted for the domain purchase. Even when I look at their hosting price, it is affordable. Let’s take the most expensive shared hosting plan that namecheap provides, the Stellar Business plan.
It costs $88.88 per year if you choose to prepay your plan which means $0.24 per day.
Not so bad yeah?
What about premium domain names and hosting?
That my friend, is a whole different story… the most expensive premium name that I have seen is $6500 for the initial purchase and $32.88 for the yearly renewal.
As for premium hosting, it costs $379.88/mo for some insane hosting boost. That costs a whooping $4558.56 per year or $12 per day.
If you are just starting out, it will make sense to go for the cheap version.
